News and Highlights

FEMA is making IT upgrades that will temporarily take some applications
offline, including the Mapping Information Platform (MIP), the Studies Tracker
Map, Electronic Letter of Map Amendment (eLOMA), Online Letter of Map
Change (LOMC), Mitigation Planning Portal (MPP), Federal Geospatial Data
Coordination by State (State Contacts), Status of Map Actions (SOMA), LOMA
Logic, the Flood Risk Study Engineering Library (FRiSEL) and the Preliminary
Product Site. These applications will be unavailable Friday, November 1 through
Sunday, November 10. To access your Preliminary Flood Hazard Data, please
use the Alternate Preliminary Site.

During the downtime, Letters of Map Revision that go effective between
November 2 and November 10, 2019 will not appear in the National
Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL) until November 11, 2019. LOMRs that go
effective November 1 will appear on the NFHL before the downtime.
The NFHL Viewer in the MSC Address Search will be up-to-date once
again on November 11. Users may access the LOMRs during this time
through the MSC's Search All Products.

Effective February 15 2019, FEMA made changes to the Keyhole Markup
Language (KMZ) file for viewing the FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL)
overlays in Google Earth. Please visit the MIP Tools
and Links Page
for more information.
