Regional Support Contact Information
The 10 Regional Management Centers (RMCs) have been established to support the Map Modernization Program and FEMA's Regional Offices by providing program management services on a regional level. Primary responsibilities of the RMCs include the following:
- Monitoring and managing activities related to the development of Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs) and the map adoption and ordinance revision process for all communities in the region.
- Encouraging and enabling delegation of engineering and mapping under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) to Cooperating Technical Partners (CTPs).
- Acting as a local liaison between the National Service Provider (NSP) and regional partners and customers, including FEMA Regional staff, CTPs, cities and counties, contractors and property owners.
- Implementing outreach activities within the guidelines of the national strategy to increase the local participation in Map Modernization and to facilitate the acceptance of the NFIP map products, programs, and policies. Assisting in Map Modernization process, where appropriate, for individual projects.
