MIP FAQs: Database Uploads and Submissions

1. Can I bypass other tasks other than the quality control (QC) notification and/or metadata for Produce Preliminary Map Products or Produce Map Products tasks?
2. User requested MIPHELP to take the QC report obtained by user from QC website and placed in the K drive as an indication that it has passed the QC validation. (User assumes this report can be a substitute to the real notification that QC sent to MIP, since user wants to move forward in the workflow.)
3. I am trying to fail the Validate Content for Buchanan Co, IA DFIRM database because several required DFIRM layers seem to be missing from the database. The workflow will not let me even fail VC because the QC report is not present. I do need to get the DFIRM database task back to B&V's worklist so they can push it through after they upload the needed files. Please advice.

We cannot take the report and place it in the K drive.

QC and MIP have its own internal mechanism. If user has uploaded and sent the data for validation, once the validation is complete, notification will be sent which will be used to indicate that the validation is done via the Workflow. This validation file (xml format) will allow user to pass Validate Content task

MIPHELP can assign a failing notification to the study Develop DFIRM Database task.  The Studies workflow will now let you choose ‘No’ for the ‘Validate Content Submission’ field and complete the Validate Content Submission task.  This will place the task back on the DFIRM Database Task Lead’s workbench, so that he/she can resolve the problem with the data submission.
